County Line Harvest, Petaluma
County Line Harvest began in 2000 as just six acres of farmland on the Marin-Sonoma county line. Since then, the Petaluma farm has grown to 30 acres of certified organic farmland specializing in baby lettuces and salad greens in the summer, and heirloom Italian chicories over the winter.
In 2009, County Line Harvest started a second farm location in Southern California to farm during the winter. Their Thermal farm, located in the Coachella Valley, is on 120 acres and cultivates a wide assortment of hand-harvested specialty produce including heirloom lettuces, salad and cooking greens, baby root vegetables, hearty winter vegetables, and summer hot crops that are available October through June.
